They smell amazing! No they don't flower the first year. These peonies are about 50 years old as well as my irises. I'm amazed they are still so pretty.

What is that one called - do you know? I like to put edible stuff with something pretty in the gardens, The bees seem happier. I showed the chives in my garden thread as an example.

Yes, I think it's wild carrots. AKA Queen Anne's Lace. My favorite wild flower. As soon as you identify it as that, someone will always tell you that no, it's hemlock.

Salsify - Boil the salsify in salted water for 6–8 minutes depending on the thickness. Cook like you would any other root vegetable

Tut! I thought you had weeded all that bloomin' stuff out @Zigs. It is a nuisance, and seeds all over the place. If you're not very careful, I shall boil YOU in salted water, and taking account of the thickness it will probably be for about 25 minutes at least.

The lily is beautiful. Is the second plant Asclepias (swamp milk weed) Dr Case?
It resembles a plant I call Eupatorium
