I believe it’s a possumhaw tree …. Ilex deciduous … so yes it is

It is, and almost the same as where I was reared, just the other side of the Thames estuary.

It's not cold here @Anniekay. In fact we've had a lovely warm, dry and sunny autumn which I'd like to point out, the rest of Britain hasn't had.
