Yes, miniature Sasanqua, blooms in fall. Gets 6-8' tall, maximum 3' wide, so good for each side of the front steps, as it won't overwhelm the entry way.I cannot think why.

Wow, I too researched Mongo Grass. A while ago I was looking for suggestions for what to grow in a completely shady spot. I read where Mongo can grow in full shade...is this true?? And its not harmful to dogs ???
If I may reply to that, dogs won't eat mondo grass, they may roll in it and squash it all down, but that won't affect it for long.
It will be on the outside of the fence so dogs will only be able to eat blades that grow thru the fence. Was looking for something to just embellish a boring fence. This may work. It grows anywhere you heave it to !! I dug a bunch out that was planted right up against my house foundation. I heaved it over the fence into the fully shaded wooded area behind my property. I never even planted it in soil.
Still growing !!
