What's Looking Good in February 2025

I like the fact it's evergreen and doesn't mind semi shade. The only drawback is it's spring blooming. I'd prefer something that is summer flowering, which there's a lack of in the garden.
1740644701654.webp There are some nice Escallonias that may fit the bill. They flower from about June until autumn, this one is rubra macrantha. Otherwise there are several Wygelas to xhoose from. Deutzia is a good one for early summer too, and I think ''pride of Rochester'' is my favourite. 1740645508416.webpThis one is a hybrid called strawberry fields.
 
Built this planter for my neighbor this winter out of pallet wood.

Thanks @Tetters . :) Escallonia haunts me. I had a 90ft hedge in the past, never again. There is one here in the garden but I think it will have to come out. It looks old, is more wood than foliage and I don't think it will cope with hard pruning.

I like Deutzia 'Pride of Rochester' and thought I'd bought it for my last garden. When it flowered it turned out to be 'Strawberry Fields' and I was really annoyed as I'm not a lover of pink flowers.
