I have a gladiola up, many of my paperwhites are blooming and all are up, even my fig tree has green buds opening and my hardy glads are all up !! The whole place thinks it's Spring !!

Snow overnight which turned to rain this morning. That's been here for most of the day along with some sunshine, then it's back to snow again tonight. 5C/ 41F maximum today.

Woke up early, still very gusty outside, and noisy too, and it looks as if it's raining as well, so I shall be ensconced in the kitchen again It'll be cookies and puddings today. Soon the freezer will be re-stocked.

Before the hurricane I turned all my wheelbarrows upside down, barrow opening to the ground and wheel up. It never moved an inch !!

The government's been cramming hurricane preparedness in our heads here in the South for YEARS !! If it can fly you have to secure it.

55f here and they predict it's going to be unseasonably cold this month due to the Polar Vortex reversing and sending cold arctic air down to the east coast, potentially all the way to Tampa Florida !!

Prepare for orange juice to rise in price !!

On the up side, I could get snow flurries and be able to join the winter photo contest !!
