That is so dang weird !!
Do you suppose, @Zigs, that they are just moving towards and with the sun as it travels during the day? I noticed they move forward and back along the same path .
Then they must be in panic mode: "Where's the sun, is it here, no, maybe there, no !!" Like these do in the wind:They move just as much as night and don't seem to follow the sun at all
The original one that I saw move (Clive) was facing South in the middle of the night and in the morning was pointed towards the North East
It's looking better now Zigs. This is a rescue Cleistocactus that we got last year. You can see the skeletal remains of the old stem near the base

Well hello @CrazyCactusLady it's nice to see you on the forum. It will also be nice that Ziggy has yet another fan of his nasty glochid loving plants - they seem to jump onto me whenever I get near his cactus houseAbsolutely stunning I need to get one of these beauties thanks Ziggy for tagging me in this amazing picture

Welcome to the forum anyway. Maybe you could put a short introduction in the intro bit, and tell us if you enjoy any other kinds of gardening - whichever way, it is good to have you on board
Yorkshire is where I come from too - well actually mum went into the hospital just over the border to Notts and I was born in Worksop. We lived in Langold down by the lake. I could write chapters about it, but had better not here after all, it's Lord Awful's special cactus threadHello and thank you oh yeah I’m another Glochid loving person, I’m for ever hooking my plants up to my self and walking off with a cactus attached to my arm yeah I need to navigate thru the group forum and find the intro bit, but lovely talking to you my name is Sarah and I’m from Yorkshire
