A slightly better day here. A slow thaw is under way but it's been a gloomy day. 3C/37F

However my son lives near Columbus, Ohio and they've had a level 3 declared due to the weather. For us Brits, that's a state of emergency and everyone has to stay at home unless they have an emergency. If caught out (if they're stupid enough) they will be fined.

That's about right I'm guessing some condensation got into the regulator followed by a frost? We lost the power washer due to a burst seam inside the thing that still had water in it when the frost came. Keep the new one indoors now.

Found out our local gas hose shop won't take cash anymore. Made a mental note to visit them during a power cut just to wave some at them

Cold wind here but no snow, currently 2C

A thaw started this morning but the weather had other ideas. By late morning the snow was back with showers throughout the day, despite the temperature at 4C/39F.

Last night it went down to 30f but no frost or even wet grass this morning. It felt like 25f with the cold north wind blowing. Tonight it's predicted to be 28f and only got up to 47f today. I don't care for this !!

It's a hard frost but the paths and roads are ok to walk on. I was a bit worried about walking with River in one close but it was fine.
Hard frost and light winds from the south west temp -3c feels like -3c.

Yes we were without Electric one time for two weeks.

Plastic Money was worthless and you couldn't get cash out of the Bank.
