Weather..

A slightly better day here. A slow thaw is under way but it's been a gloomy day. 3C/37F

However my son lives near Columbus, Ohio and they've had a level 3 declared due to the weather. For us Brits, that's a state of emergency and everyone has to stay at home unless they have an emergency. If caught out (if they're stupid enough) they will be fined.

Found out our local gas hose shop won't take cash anymore. Made a mental note to visit them during a power cut just to wave some at them 😁

Most folk have been brainwashed into not using cash. There's been a smear campaign to make out that if you accept cash you're a spiv and not paying tax :cautious:

I know most folks don't make it to the end of my videos but I end a lot of them with this...

Last night it went down to 30f but no frost or even wet grass this morning. It felt like 25f with the cold north wind blowing. Tonight it's predicted to be 28f and only got up to 47f today. I don't care for this !! 😞

Yes we were without Electric one time for two weeks.

Plastic Money was worthless and you couldn't get cash out of the Bank.

I have a hand written receipt book and I also accept pre 1920's silver coins. After that date they started taking the silver out, first it went down to 50% then none. Now they've even taken the copper out of the pennies as it's worth more than the face value 🙄

What sort of worms are these then @big rockpile ? Are they for going fishing, or are you short of them in the garden, or are they to feed the cold hungry birds with?

Suppose we'd better get back to the weather.... It has been slightly chilly, but for a change we had some lovely sunshine peep through for the best part of today, and so took a leisurely stroll around our gardens, looking to see what needs doing next, and to delight in seeing hundreds of bulbs pushing through the ground. :cool:
