Birds in your Garden

@DrCase Our wrens have such tiny beaks. How do those ones feed to need a huge one like that? Do they dig around in holes or something? .....or maybe they dig their beaks into other bird's business - much like people do?

Southern Mockingbird. Ours have a bit of a tawny yellow color whereas others are more light grey instead. They are very, VERY aggressive about their nests and will attack other birds, like crows, particularly, if the crow is within their sight. They attack humans, dogs, cats, even deer that are getting close to where their nest is built.

And they are Very loud !! Can copy almost any sound they like. I have on that makes a sound like a squeaky door.!!

Blue Jay. They love to steal cat or dog food left outside. I find their feathers in my yard all the time.

Purple Martin. They nest in martin houses or bottle gourds and eat lots of bugs.

Painted bunting. You can see them at feeders but otherwise you rarely see them since they prefer to stay way up in the trees when perching.

Cor, they are all so different to the birds we have here. So, the Chickadee is an insect eater, and of course, the House Finch rather likes those seeds.
I am a bit surprised the large carving behind them doesn't make them witless with fear 😨
