We had a winner...Oh this is Emma a Dutch Shepard so my wife tells me. She was rehomed a couple three times but B got her on referral. Becky is upstairs right now suffering a sore shoulder and a dog bite hand but she is resilient and determined to make this relationship work. This is the second time. The dogs go to work with her and something in that tighter confine is a trigger for the lab mix Pepper to go off. Sweetest punkin ever but the Shepard cannot stop 
Me? I put my hand on their chests until there was no question of who owned who. I am currently trying to get B to watch this pbs show about monkey tribes that steal wild dog puppies and raise troop protection dogs. They have the Male monkey domination tactics on video. Its not hard, unless you have been married so long that in the 3rd decade she has developed a squinty eye.
Its the way it goes sometimes...
