Oh, ye of little faith I've trained Mustangs fresh from the West. I might not ride them right away but give me a few months !!You're welcome. I don't think they would survive the journey, sorry. They wouldn't let you mount them Annie, but the old chap that's now gone was ridden. Yes, they are all overweight, spending their days grazing until their time comes. Both the bay and the white are female.
Oh heck, did you stop being a hiker, and turn into an Olympic runner instead that is not the kind of bear to cuddle is it. Surely you didn't get that close with the camera? That is by zoom - right?
We do see a few very very fat people thoughWe don't have many things bigger than foxes here @roadrunner
They're about the same size as foxes, just a bit fatterBut, @Zigs you have... Badgers !!
I found a Possumcrossing the street in the night, slowly dragging his hind leg. I happened to have a sturdy cardboard box in the back seat and a big, thick hunk of heavy cloth. So, I stopped and was about to throw the cloth over him and he did what possums do: dropped to the pavement like he'd just dropped dead !!They're about the same size as foxes, just a bit fatter
If you should come across one at night, they will face you off and stamp their front feet at you but I've not heard of one having a go at someone. I found a baby one that had been run over, it was ok, just a bit stunned. The Animal Rescue people took him in and looked after him but he got too tame to release back into the wild so they kept him at the rescue centre. He even appeared on telly, on Blue Peter. Not many people can say they had a Blue Peter Badger
No, he was that close, no zoom needed. Normally black bears are shy around humans, but this one was a little ornery. He actually pounced on his front paws and chomped his jaws at me.Oh heck, did you stop being a hiker, and turn into an Olympic runner instead that is not the kind of bear to cuddle is it. Surely you didn't get that close with the camera? That is by zoom - right?
It's a long time since I saw a curlew around the Kent coast, but I think there are one or two recovery schemes where they're trying to improve the habitat for these birds. There wasn't many sea birds around while out for a walk today but caught this one before it took off.
