We've just got a wood stove before they make them illegal here along with gas boilers and cars

Yes, sales and manufacturing of outdoor wood stoves here is illegal. If you have one, you can still have it. Many do. I think inside ones are still for sale. When I had mine rebuilt, I bought a rebuild kit with it. So when the barrel wears out, I can rebuild it.

Yes!! As they say, Life isn't all roses, it also comes with thorns!!! Next week in the 50s & 60s° F !!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!

I'm in a mood now! The wind has been in the wrong direction for a bonfire all the time the sun was out. This morning it changed direction and it is WET! There is SO much to dispose of now after a hedge out there had a drastic prune

Still overcast, chilly and a bit of wind from the north. It's only supposed to be 50°f for the high. This afternoon I have to go out and protect my tomato, pepper, potato, courgette and some flowering plants that I'd planted out already, from the predicted 28°f expected to descend on us early tomorrow morning.

I have fleece and lots of cardboard boxes that I intend to use for protection, all the while hoping I'll be doing it all for nothing !!

I'm telling you !!
You just Can NOT rely on these weather forecasters 'round here !!

I spent a lot of time yesterday tapeing up box after box, after box, you know, to keep those heavy frost particles from killing my plants. Spent another good bit of time tucking them in over my veg, lugging bricks to hold them in place. Not to mention removing stakes and untieing the tomato and pepper plants from those stakes, and what happens !!?

Not a bit of frost !! Not even the least little glimmer of frost !! Temperature was 31 for the low and THAT didn't even last for an hour !! I tell ya, it's so frustrating !! You just can not rely on meteorologists at all !! When they say we will have frost, we don't and when they say we won't have it.... of course, we do.!!
