I have several beautiful Ferns that I like.

My wife said at the house we didn't sell one Fern and she would never buy something that didn't have big Blooms.

She don't know but most plants with big Blooms need plenty of sunlight.

Anyway I'm needing to break up several and I usually just start another Fern but if I don't need them I have no choice but to throw them away.

So give the ones attention and throw extra away?

Thinking of getting couple Christmas Ferns and plant by the house.

I'm already in trouble because I'm wanting to plant the yard in flowers. She says well there won't be no Lawn to mow.

You're right Dear but it will be prettier. LOL

Plant the ones you don't need in any shady nook or cranny, they survive in all sorts of places. Even found one that had been in the compost heap for a year.

Ours aren't looking good at this time of year but when the frost has gone I'll cut back the old fronds and let the new ones take over 🙂

In my climate zone I have Boston ferns planted in shade. They do very well in dry shade and the trees keep the frost off them
I do the same: cut them down in spring and they've never failed to come back and now have spread all over the place. I plan to move some out and find some more shady places to plant them before they engulf the entire shade garden !!😆
