Keep safe Logan and all of you in Uk !! It sounds like your winds are eqivalent to Tropical Storm force winds only colder !! Stay warm inside and away from windows. You never know when flying objects may be near !!

Thank you Annie, the only thing we have to walk the boys. Had a tree come down on the main road and one up from our road, it had ivy growing through it which made it top heavy.

The bottom two thirds of Britain has had a rough time today but up here in Scotland it's not been so bad. Heavy rain overnight and throughout much of today but the wind hasn't been anywhere near as strong as elsewhere. 6C/43F

Down here in Kent it's still blowing a hoolie.
Evidently that word (for foreigners) could derive from a Scottish word in the Orkney Islands ''hoolan'' which means a strong gale, or if you were Irish, it would be a loud, happy party ...... just a useless bit of information I picked up.

Well, I hate to say, and almost didn't since you guys in the UK have had it so rough and miserable the past few days but My temp today got up to 67 f only got down to 34f last night.

Tomorrow I'm doing a hard graft in the garden because it will get all the way up to 72f and only down to 47 tonight. Tuesday will be even warmer ( all this warmth is due to storms coming in on Wednesday) it wll get up to 75f and only down to 57 in the night.I

If the rain doesn't come early I'm going to have a few sore muscles for sure because I'm moving two raised beds, one is 3x6' and the other 4'x 8' and all the dirt inside them. Time for a good sweat !!

I was determined to get the jet washer out today and blast the back yard pathways, but it's been chucking rain down and blowing another hoolie in this corner of the world all day, so I thought sod it

It's gotten up to 76 F and it's quite breezy coming from the north west. I even got to hang out my washing: flannel sheets and pillowcases and such. All dried in just three hours !! This, though portends rain coming in tomorrow which is great timing for keeping my veg hydrated !!
