Well, learned a valuable lesson during year one of the garden. You can't hold potatoes under a lean-to for 3 days in 100+ degrees. They've already turned to mush. Our entire potato crop is ruined.
Its a painful lessen but invaluable. The same can happen when you get a hard soaking rain on the potatoes after the tops have started falling over...two days tops and rotting potatoes. Ask me how I know this.

Yeah, it's definitely a bummer. Hopefully we'll be able to store our fall crop. We did get to enjoy several meals out of these, as well as a family shrimp boil, so not all was wasted.
