Thanks for the info @Tetters. I had no idea what they were, I took the pic in woodland. There were a lot of pines there, both vertical and horizontal.

I think some squirrelly or raccoony creature dropped these into the birdbath for a wash and then his attention deficit disorder struck !!

My Lord !! You can grow fungi on next to nothing !!

If I ever get to the UK I think I'm going to look into anti-fungal medications.

You'll need more than medications, I broke my foot looking for Oyster Mushrooms

These have, with all the rain the last few days, popped up all over !!


I think this is a different kind than the first.

I'll get a whole piece up tomorrow and see if the stem matches honey fungus. There was a big tree whose roots would've been in that area but it was cut down in 2020. It leaned towards the house but there weren't any fungi on it, it was huge and healthy, but dangerous before it was cut down. We'll see !!
