Beavers Work

I was walking around the back of the farm yesterday .
The water was low I ran into this small beaver dam and the beavers hut,
It was really tall and about 10’ around , you can see one entrance .

Are there beavers there now ? We had a pond across the street from me when I was a kid and there were three beavers very active on the far side of the pond. They're so fun to watch !!

Cor @DrCase this is wonderful. What a beautiful spot and lovely photo. Beavers have been non-existent in the UK for centuries, but I do believe they have been reintroduced recently, and there have been a few new sightings of activity around the country.
I believe they are mostly nocturnal, but can also be seen busily working during the daytime. Do you get the chance to sit quietly and watch them? They would make a fantastic subject for your photography.....which reminds me, there's only a couple of days left before our first photo competition ends!!
