Living on the edge of the Big Thicket National Preserve there is no shortage of trees...huge trees.
Yesterday's storm took down some big ones on my ranch including one of the oldest, largest oaks:

A sister oak went with it:

And a third one nearby did not escape the storm's wrath:

Down stream found another large tree a casualty of the storm:

It's sad to see these majestic trees destroyed this way. The storms this spring have been violent here...the worst I have ever experienced.
