I have a couple empty spaces in front and behind some of my rose bushes so, I asked the net: Can tomatoes be planted by rose bushes? In big black letters it said YES !!
So, I'm gonna do it !!

So, I planted three out !! The one on the right (two, actually) I just didn't have the heart to snip one since they were both growing equally well, so they are kept together.

Sort of a bad pic but the rose in front is just starting to bud out. It's a Julia Child.

We'll see if tomatoes do repel black spot and if the tomatoes do well. They should!! I gave them enoigh goodness that they should be happy !! šŸ˜„

I didn't know about that, but be careful not to over feed the tomatoes you will get a lot of growth without the fruit, usually feed after the first truss has set.
Yes, I agree. I burried quite a bit of stem on these plants and had been removing trusses almost daily, just to keep the root system expanding rather than the fruits growing.

I'm excited to see how this works out. I just love me a good experiment with plants !!šŸ˜
