That third one reminds me of the possums in Australia, marsupials. I have never seen an opossum as far as I can remember, but assume that your third picture is one of these, and also a marsupial JD?

I lived near the Pine Barrens when I lived in New Jersey. They're spooky and I never wanted to go in. The possum is a marsupial @Tetters. Possum and Opossum are the same animal in the States.

Yes, I know him well. Often we sit on the bank of an abandoned cranberry bog at night drinking cheap wine and listening to his stories about terrorizing people.
