Needed a couple of new pots for my bonsai trees so rather than paying out a lot of money and risking them getting broken in the post (nothing suitable in the local garden centre) I thought I'd have a go at making some
Poured some plaster that needed using up into a large bucket with 4 wooden blocks in, then put a smaller bucket on top. Took a bit of nibbling to get the blocks out but it's set nicely.
Working on a bigger one but I've lost one of the blocks in the plaster somewhere
Gypsum plaster isn't the best thing to use outside but if they weather too quickly I now know how to knock up some cement ones if needs be. They'll probably outlast me as I'm very old indeed.
I'll be potting this Beech tree up into the smaller of the two
