No, the bottom heat is just to aid germination, and it's best to take them off and let them grow real slow.Do Petunias have to stay on Heat Pads once sprouted?

I was told to leave it until they sprout.Rocky, you should lift the covers on your trays and shake off the excess water so your seeds don't rot.
If you don't remove the excess moisture, it drips back down, the soil stays too wet and the seeds rot.I was told to leave it until they sprout.

You're not understanding. You take it off when you have excess moisture accumulated inside the dome, shake that excess off the inside of the clear dome, then put it back on. Right now, two of them have too much water, hence the water droplets covering the inside of the dome. This means that your seeds are too wet.I was told many times leave the Domes on so seed will get moisture but soon as they start sprouting to remove the Domes.
I was told this on all seed.
