Got an issue with my tomato seedlings 😣

I have bottom leaves yellowing on my Longkeeper tomato seedlings, no roots showing at the bottom of the pot, while my Moneymakers and Babyboomers are all green and healthy all over !! 🙄

What does this mean? All are in the same soil and cared for exactly the same way. Are they just needing more nitrogen than the other two varieties, ya think ? I'm lost on this.

I have a grow light on them and have given the tomatoes a very dilute fish emulsion feed last week. Maybe that affected the Longkeepers but not the other two varieties. Who knew Longkeepers were fussy !!? 😑
 
I have never heard of longkeepers before. Zigs just said that as the plants grow, they will probably need bigger pots to get a bit more root space, and he also said that his tomatoes often lose their early leaves at the bottom which then fall off.
Your plants look really healthy otherwise though, and actually I very often remove a lot of the early leaves anyway. I think you can put them in deeper pots too and bury a bit more stalk, and then they grow extra roots.
Maybe it's just that variety that is peculiar to this problem? I'll bet those ones will end up with the best tomatoes 😀 all these plants can be just as peculiar as people y'know.

I'm going to pot them on soon as I see some roots coming out the bottom, and plant them deep in bigger pots.
Who knew I'd have one kind of fussy tomatoes !! I have grown these before but that was 30 years ago and I don't remember if the bottom leaves yellowed or not.

Oh well, we'll see how it goes 😁
