Nice! I like strawberries but very high maintenance here.
They do that sometimes Mike
Just picking our first ones of the year, I potted up some that were still flowering in October and put them in the new tunnel, they've come on quicker than the ones in the netted tunnel.
Mike that looks good, i hope that you have enough strawberries for your jam.
Nice! Those are some good lookin' strawberries. Do you eat them all, or do you also make jelly/jam from some?
Oooooo, I want.As promised, the fruit tunnel this morning...

we mainly just eat them for pudding
Maybe we should have a recipe threadJust as suspected, after yesterday's harvest we have enough to make a batch of strawberry jam!
Been a long time since I've had any homemade jam, of any kind, so this will be a nice treat, whenever we get a chance to get it made.
I've never even heard of making pudding from strawberries. In fact, I've never even heard of strawberry pudding at all. Had to look it up to see what it is. Is this something that's popular in England? It might be popular in other parts of the US, but definitely not around here where I'm at.
That said, I'd love to try it if you wanna share your recipe.

For the current iteration is the main intention pest management (birds most likely) or for climate protection / season extension?
