So what is the European take on Turkey Marinade for the upcoming meatfest we enjoy here across the pond? I put a bird in icewater with the following;
cranberry juice, orange juice, lemons, seasoned rice vinegar, chili powder, garlic, onion, black pepper, seasoned salt, rosemary, thyme, sage and bay leaves.
What am I missing other than your refined company?
I ask because Benjiman Franklin snugged up to European norms and favored a smoked turkey as our national bird. Somehow we ended up with an Eagle. I suspect hedonism as a mesquite smoked turkey stuffed with sweet peppers probably titillated the most jaded women Old Ben knew in Paris. And I heardhe knewafew.
