This little guy may well be 25 years old. Not sure when I bought it actually. Anyway it never fit a single mower blade I ever owned perfectly and while I could finagle it around for a balancing act I resolved to find a better way in honor of the new John Deere S170 that replaced the L130. This afternoon I spent an hour assembling a jig for the parts. The kit was roughly $85 from amazon. It has much more accuracy for blade angle, a feeler for bent blade, and a ball bearing cone to check balance on the blade. I have to do 3 blades on the new rig but will buy another set eventually to keep sharp, just like having spare belts and so forth also turns out to be a good idea. Also I suspect I can figure a way to use it on a variety of other tools. This machine is designed around the use of a sanding flap disk on a grinder that is attached to the metallic arm.
