Yesterday we made pickles from the cucumbers that we gathered over the last several days. We ended up with a little more than 8 quarts. The last jar we also threw in a handful of the jalapenos and onions we've taken from the garden this week too.

Hopefully we'll be making more in the coming days.

I didn't get a photo but we were able to put up 7 more quart jars of pickles on Tuesday. We'll be making some more tonight, I think (either tonight or tomorrow night). I'll try to get some pictures of those. Also, in another week, or so, we'll be making some fried pickles for the first time in a long time. I'll throw up some pictures of those too. I can't wait!

Looks like we'll be putting up at least another 14 pints of pickles on Thursday. We ended up giving over 100lbs of our cucumbers to some friends of ours so they could make some pickles but we still have more than enough for ourselves for the year. Also, we have a few plants that are just now starting to produce!

We've given away so many of our pickling cucumbers and we still have a TON! So today we decided to make more pickles. Out up another 14 pints today and will put up another seven quarts of spicy dill pickles tomorrow. Couldn't do it today because we ran out of dill and nobody wants to go to the store tonight.

On a side note, we've definitely decided to start an herb garden next year with, at the very least, some dill growing.
