I'll start with tomatoes, blue lake green beans, Sarpa Mira potatoes, Tex super sweet onions:

Done, and great idea for a thread! I'll post all our latest pickings here. We've gotten a few squash off already and plenty more coming. Have some onions ready to eat and a TON of potatoes will be ready to dig in a few weeks. Oh, broccoli coming soon too!

Here's today's haul...first potatoes and pickling cucumbers (which will be eaten soon and never get to be a pickle), and our second haul of yellow squash.

Also got a few more strawberries, although they'll slow down now with the temps getting up into the 100s already.

Yes, we are at 92 deg F now and probably will go a bit higher today...soon it will be 100 and 100 through to September and I'll be planting cover crops.

We don't know the variety of these ones. We grew them on from plants gathered up from round the garden and planted into the netted tunnel. Tetters did get some Red Gauntlets but they haven't started cropping propperly yet.

Tomatoes and first bull horn peppers today. I like to pick tomatoes just before red ripe...because the birds prefer red ripe

I'm fairly sure these are the gauntlets. An old variety that I remembered from about 50 years ago. They are very sweet, no sugar needed !!
Zigs is equally sure they're not though - it's all so confusing, I need a lie down.

Here's yesterday's haul. Went ahead and harvested some of the broccoli. Will probably harvest a few more in the next few days, and I may get the first tomato off today.

Are you sure you're only a beginner young Mike? They look pretty good to me, but I think the sooner you crop the rest, the better - they'll be no good if they go to seed.

I've grown some things before but many things this year is the first time. Broccoli is one of those things I've never grown before. Looking forward to eating one of these soon!

The difference between store bought and home grown broccoli is amazing!

So we got all yesterday's broccoli in the freezer. I harvested another one today which we're going to eat tonight with some chicken and rice. Also got a few tomatoes (first of the year) and another squash, both of which will be eaten tonight.

Word of warning Mike, bit later in the year check the broccoli stems for catterpillars, they curl themselves up in the stalks and are the same colour as the broccoli when cooked
