Fresh Strawberry Jam

Finally got around to making our strawberry jam from all my youngster's strawberries. Didn't quite use them all, so we still have more in the freezer, but this is most of the fruits of his labor. Two years of tending to strawberry plants all for today.

We ended up with six 8oz jars and nice 4oz jars. One of the 4oz jars isn't in the photo because it's in the fridge. Wouldn't you know it, we're having breakfast for dinner tonight so one jar will likely be gone within the hour.

The jars don't do it justice! It was amazing! I think knowing how hard he worked on that strawberry patch makes it taste so much better but it was easily the best strawberry jam I've ever eaten.

That looks great and well done to your son looking after the strawberry patch.

It is delicious! He already has plans to make the strawberry patch much much larger next year. He's talking about something 4x as large. He's also wanting to try out a hydroponics strawberry stand.
