Hya. I've been out of circulation. Had TAVI aortic valve replacement 4 Sept. Followed by a heart attack and stroke. Two days later had 4 stents fitted to coronary arteries. Home for two weeks then back to A&E. Side effects from med. Fluid found around the heart. Loads of scans etc and I feel like a dartboard from all the needles. Let homeTues afternoon.

Oh crikey Mike, I've been wondering where you have been. You really have been in the wars - it's not much fun is it. Is your daughter looking after you at home now? Have you got some follow up help from the hospital?
That was a hell of a lot of happenings in one roll, and you must be pretty tough to come out the other side waving the flag!
Do you have use of both arms and legs since the stroke? I was lucky with mine, and just ended up with a weakness in the left side, but can still pull weeds with the right one - a bit like the present general situation with the right and left!
Enjoy your two weeks, and mind you eat as much good quality food as possible ok. You need it. The hospital stuff is rubbish! Thanks for letting us know, and do please keep in touch

Wow !! Most people wouldn't have survived all that. You must be one super tough super human to withstain all that .Best wishes to you @Mike Allen for a smooth and speedy recovery !!

Thanks friends. Amazing as I had no symptoms. I lost two stone, hopefully that will soon go back on. Daughter Amanda is an angel despite her disabilities. Here's looking forward to my 85th in December. PS. No signs of damage from the stroke.

You are a tough and stubborn sod aren't you. I'm really glad the stroke was a fairly small one then, like mine. Now you have to get your strength up again to look after those roses. here's sending hugs for you and Amanda. Take care. You may have just one small glass of whiskey before bed -OK !
